Manfrotto do make great tripod, but make sure you try one out first as some of them are HEAVY!
I have the 055PRO and it weighs a tonne, but is super stable and lets you turn the centre column 90 degrees (or remove it complety). Very handy when you want to shoot straight down or from (almost) ground level. The only down side is the weight.
Luckily my dad managed to score a set of manfrotto carbon fibre legs from his work for nothing, which I then claimed with a great amount of haste! Weight problem solved
Not as stable in windy conditions though, so it's a case of picking the best tool for the day!
