Now that the bugs should have been ironed out, members are able to integrate their Facebook & Twitter accounts with Real Tasmania.

new members should be able to sign up and create an account here by using their Facebook or Twitter login details from the sign in page. If you join in this way you will be given the option of creating a new user name for this site, or to use the same name you have at Facebook or Twitter.

All members can now update their Facebook & Twitter pages from Real Tasmania, without leaving this site. In order to allow this to work you will need to switch the feature on inside your profile. To do this, follow these simple steps:

(For Facebook)

1. Select "My Settings" from the drop down menu next to your name in the top right corner of the site.
2. Select the "Profile" section from the options above the green bar in the page that opens
3. From the left hand menu, select "Manage Facebook Connect"
4. Click on the "Login to Facebook" button. (If the button does not appear you may need to log out of Facebook and try again).
5. Allow the connection to access your Facebook account (we do not store any of this information, nor does this give anyone other than yourself access to that account)

You will then be provided with various options to integrate your Facebook account with your account here.

The process to integrate your Twitter account is virtually identical except that you select the "Manage Twitter Connect" option at Step 3 above.

If you have chosen to update your Twitter or Facebook Status from your Real Tasmania Status, then you will notice a check bock marked "t" and/or "f" below the status update box. Checking those when you are entering a new status will result in your status being updated at Facebook and/or Twitter automatically.

You can also choose to have your status updated from Twitter and or Facebook.

Any problems or questions feel free to respond here.

At first, I thought... hmmm not really my cup of tea! But then I realized it could be quite handy when traveling... and 'killing two birds with one stone' so as to speak. :)

It can be very frustrating having limited access to the web while traveling, so anything that puts you in two places at the same time - will be great!

Who said an old dog can't learn new tricks?

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those that mind, dont matter and those that matter, dont mind!!!

if you come across someone without a smile,.................. give them one of your's....... and watch it grow!

never be mean with a kind word, ........................you may need one yourself one day!

just as I get used to today along comes tomorrow!

I don't really use either of those myself, but the feature was there to be used and I figured someone may find it handy. You make a good point about how simple it would be to update all three status messages while traveling.
