Hi albe,

Cygnet is a town in southern Tasmania and they have an annual folk music festival.

Have a look at this internet link then you may have a better idea.

Yesterday was the holiday. Went for a ride on the wilderness railway, the train derailed and was held up for about three hours while they put it back on the tracks, but it was a good day overall.

What interesting day .... Unfortunately, over here is still winter and cold. But I started from two weeks to get out on the lake with the kayak. The water is about 3 °, but there is snow on the mountains and the air is clean and clear water.

Sounds absolutely lovely Alberto. I love seeing snow on the peaks and the colder weather. :)

Today is overcast, cold and perhaps fall a bit 'of snow. Is ending in January, the month that I do not like. And 'long, cold, and for a teacher, like me, it means work boring and bureaucratic. In February, something changes, even the days are a bit 'longer. Even if the cold does not go away soon.
I tried to search for homes on sites that I have indicated, Mystic, and I found something beautiful. Really beautiful. Thanks for the help.

Good to hear you have found something you like Alberto. What town is the house in?

Best of luck with it all :)

Your weather sounds chilly but I wouldn't mind seeing it...maybe one day I will. It's always nice when the days get longer and warmer though. Nice to hear from you again Alberto and I wish you luck with the house.

One of the houses I've seen northern end of Flinder''s Island. What place is? The house is nice and also expensive. Do you have pictures dellla Findler's Island?

I have not been to Flinders Island. It is a very isolated location and not easy to get to without going to some expense. Just had a quick look at real estate prices up there and it is very expensive. Best of luck with everything.

The shipping company that used to service the island went into receivership recently and I am not sure what has replaced it. Seems the only way to get there now is to fly through a few small aviation services.

In fact, the proposal is quite expensive. And you're right about the fact that it is quite isolated. Then I saw that it rains quite often and so, do you? You have somewhere to suggeririmi?
It 's over a hard week and ugly. See that house made me dream. Perhaps wrong to think of a house, a place so far?
This is not a good time for me.
Come on, give me a better idea about where to go.
Meanwhile here are almost 11 ° during the day, even though the morning is still cold.

Hi Alberto...if you want drier weather, have a look for places on the East coast, it does not rain as much over there as it does on the west coast. There are larger towns and some small towns where it is quite beautiful and peaceful. I can't think of the names of the towns right now, but if you click here, you will be taken to a post with a map where you can see the names of towns. Click on the map to make it bigger

If you can provide a link to the house you felt was perfect, that may also help to give an idea of what you are looking for when you suggest a "small" house. There are numerous, very small communities scattered around the east and west coasts (assuming you wish to be right on the coast). Some are closer to major centres than others some require 4WD access to get to, while most would at least involve driving over gravel roads.

This one would probably not be cheap, but is in a region where many smaller locations can be found where houses can be purchased at quite reasonable prices.Alternatively, if you are looking at something inland, there are many like this one ($395K) that can be found for very reasonable prices that offer beauty, serenity, and privacy.

Hi, I read the earthquake in New Zealand. You have heard? Caused damage? I hope not. The earthquake is really a thing that leaves me dismayed.

Hi Alberto. New Zealand is a different country and it does get many earthquakes. Here in Australia we are not really affected by them, not big ones like that anyway.

I'm happy. In fact you are far away but I thought you had been able to hear it.
Here, gradually moving away from winter.
It's still cold, and maybe it will snow on Sunday. But the birds are back, on the branches of the trees begin to see the gems.
I hope I can go out soon on the lake. I would like to take pictures but I have a machine suitable. In kayaking, there's not much space, they can make big moves.

It would be very nice to see some shots from the lake when you have the right equipment. Down here the weather has been a bit weird. I have heard many locals saying that we haven't really had a summer down here this year and I can agree, it has been very mild indeed.
