The West Coast Wilderness Railway is currently offering a special trip for Australia day (January 26). Usually fares start at around $107 for a train to Strahan and a return by bus. But, for Australia Day they are offering a return trip to Strahan (train both ways) for only $25 per person.
I believe there are two departure (Queenstown) times available. First train departs 7.45am, and will have to check on the second departure time later today, with both making the return trip from Strahan at 4pm.

hah! I'd be riding it all day if I lived there, we absolutely loved the thing when we rode it a few years back, the scenery is indescribable!
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those that mind, dont matter and those that matter, dont mind!!!
if you come across someone without a smile,.................. give them one of your's....... and watch it grow!
never be mean with a kind word, ........................you may need one yourself one day!
just as I get used to today along comes tomorrow!

Thanks Cascade. Yep, two trains going down 7.15 & 7.45, bus to the Regatta Grounds where there is a picnic day and various stuff happening, (bus fare included in trip cost) then train back to Queenstown at 4pm from Strahan.
Shane & I are booke4d on the 7.45 train. Maybe we will see some other members attending
Was advised this morning that there are still plenty of tickets left as of now, but this will fill up very quickly. If you are thinking of taking advantage of this discount, book ASAP.
