Time to start afresh with another 52 weeks of images. Is funny how when I was very young, I used to sit around the school playground discussing the future with friends, and we were always amazed at how far off the year 2000 was. That was the distant future for us, and the year science fiction writers often used for their stories of technological wonder. Now, here we are in 2011, and the Dick Tracy video phone has arrived. Welcome to the future :)

Thanks Shane. I quite like the background in that first shot myself. Dig the ginger up??? you mean actually cut off some of that huge root and make use of it???? Then it surely will die ROFL

WEEK 3

This is going to be fun (not) trying to do this with only a dial up connection. Moving house is always a pain and Telstra was kind enough to screw my phone connection up for a few days, so I was only able to order the broadband transfer this morning  Hopefully I will have broadband back by the end of this week. Been busy with packing and unpacking mostly but have managed to take a couple of wanders and capture a few shots.

I like all of those Mystic, I especially like the framing of the railway carriage and its proportion in context with the rest of the picture.
Some, walk in the rain, others, just get wet.

Thanks folks. I like the train, and the way that came up myself. The shadows was a bit of fun too Shane, need to get some more of that sunlight stuff and play around with similar shots again.

WEEK 4

Managed to get everything unpacked, and the house reasonably clean and organised during the week, and even managed to get out for a few local wanders. Having taken delivery of a new lens this week, everything has been shot with the Tamron 90mm. Still stuck with dial up though, and will be much happier once broadband is back to normal.

Thanks Cascade, it is a very nice lens :) The dandelion shots were taken indoors. I carefully cut a head off and brought it in away from the wind, placed the dandelion on a smoked glass table top.
