To get to the campsite you must drive over the spillway of the dam, so if the dam is in flood, there is no access, however this would provide a fantastic photo opportunity so worth visiting anyway.
The campsites are varied, from camping next to a smaller dam wall on bitumen, (follow the road to the right at the fork) or there is a smaller area that could hold a small tent near the boat ramp (follow the right fork in the road) there is also an open area between the forks that can be camped on, but this ground is very hard and rocky,
There are no facilities at this dam, so you need to bring in all your needs, the dam is known for fishing, however must admit I'm yet to catch anything either time i visited here, but to make up for that There is fantastic photo opportunities, (I will admit these were taken while i was on a small dinghy)
