in a haze of teenage drinking, smoking and cartoon watching i came questioning the background of every 'luxury' shoved in my face since i was a kid. the ease of it all shifted into some form of normality that everyone arrogantly expected oblivious of the true benefit of what we held in our hands. my peers came with their bipolar illnesses and petty depressions on no real grounds, sure some of them had it hard but who doesn't. nobody was there to tell me every action and possession had it's own effect on other and less fortunate parts of the world. while my high school years taught me little more than mathematics and social skills i heard nothing of howards war crimes and the corruption taking place in tasmanian government through the '90s, maybe i was just deaf. either way i'm slowly and painfully giving birth to an opinion, and i have been researching the history of not only how they stole this country and stained it with nationalism and petty anthems and flags, but the history of the entire world in all its tyranny. and it saddens me to see what i once saw as the respectable adults around me shift to ignorant slaves under the thumb of false pretense of liberty and freedom. settling for anything that was easier despite this failing system, leaving the less fortunate to rot and teaching none of this to children and for what, protection? pacified societies with no sense of true loss and loving human interest? and these deeply manipulated 'Australian' families most likely descending from inbred english convicts claiming saying no to borders, beer and sport is un-australian; that people speaking different languages is 'UN-AUSTRALIAN'.... vomiting more fascists and racists into the streets. with every war australia has entered being no real threat to this country, that is not patriotic. its their warped fathers oppression. australia is brown nosing america becoming part of their horrid display of how far they will go and how many they will sacrifice for nothing more but money and oil. our independent businesses shunned for cheaper alternatives abroad, sold at a disgustingly higher rate while nobody thinks and those at the top get richer while we play their game at the bottom with no real say. i'm no political genius YET but i can see the world is crashing and burning, and keeping this passive state of living is going to result in the ongoing of endless death and famine and those in charge will eventually see this wonderful island and have the rights to take it over for whatever they will. i have a group of friends i desperately try to talk to about these things, though its tedious they will come around. please teach young people what they are intended to be in this world and help them stand up and be their OWN person UNchained from capitalism. away from all the utter horse shite we are fed and manipulated to believe in and be scared by to become zombies to the televisions and hierarchies of this twisted world. i should be far smarter than i am now at 20, but i never had the chance. i have faith in tasmania and we should break away from the clutches of these demons. less government control and free movement for all humans.
any firmer and wiser opinions on these points would be appreciated, any authors or organizations of those still HUMAN please do tell.
for everyone that is older, you will die and WE are the ones left. don't let us be as dumb as most people are today. for now i spread these words and boycott what i can and will never vote because i do not believe a thing they say, after all i never asked to be a citizen

We ALL have CHOICES in life. We are ALL responsible for what we choose to do, say, think, believe, and act.... If you don't like your life, then you should make the changes required to create a better life for yourself.

Well put Mystic.... I have been wondering how to respond myself and did not want to rush into it.

But here goes.

The bottom line is this, billdamage.... It's very easy to blame everyone and everything in the world for what you perceive as being let down or not having been given a fair go. It's often called a cop-out.

Simply put ... I am the one responsible for what happens to me.. I can say "Yes" or "No". I am responsible for what I learn or do not learn. I am responsible for what I do.... Be it good or bad, as I already pointed out I can say "Yes"or "No". Apply those comments to yourself and you may awaken yourself to what life and living is really all about.

My parents no doubt thought they were doing the right thing bringing me into this world.. And I thank them for that. Had my mother lived instead of dying from TB when I was 7 my life would no doubt have mapped out in a very different way. I came from a different era to you, I just got on with life and helped myself with a lot of help from other people that were willing because I was not afraid to ask them for help. From this I learn't one valid thing that will help you breeze through life, that is, to always give more than you take, in doing so you will never be in debt.. You will need to be aware that there will be times when you will need to draw the line and say "NO" as some people in society are born takers and never give. It may even be one of your proclaimed "best friends". Personally I have little time for this type of individual.

So "billdamage" stop feeling sorry for yourself, there is a wealth of knowledge out there for the taking, don't wait for someone to give it to you, although they have probably already tried, but in your ignorance and with your attitude, if all you learnt at school and I quote "taught me little more than mathematics and social skills" then you were probably not paying much attention and was already feeling super sorry for yourself.

We may never see you back in this forum as I suspect that you are just running around the web posting your diatribe where ever you can find somewhere to dump it.

If you do return, I hope you take our comments in a positive way and turn your life around as you certainly seem to be going backwards.

But before I finish , I do take great offence at a couple of your flipant comments, so let me wise you up and assure you of a couple of things...... Bipolar disorder, or manic-depressive illness (MDI), is one of the most common, severe, and persistent mental illnesses of today. Depression is also a debilitaing illness where you can lose days and weeks of your life and never remember or reclaim them. So both of these are for real and are in no way petty. I hope you never suffer from either one of these.

Basically I believe you are heading for a depressive state or are already there. Go get some help, it can be treated.

We all know the world sucks, but only you can take back your life and make every new day, a new adventure. Perhaps your first challenge could be to learn some basic grammar, capitalisation and punctuation in your written english, although I know your generation perceives this as not being important.

And again, another point I will make in regard to taking back your life, been there, done that, got the T-shirt, I know it can work... Good luck.

we just lost a very much loved sister to brain cancer........if you no longer want or enjoy your life may i have it to give to an outgoing, much loved, life loving, absolutely beautiful soul who was taken far too damn early!

every day you walk this earth is a gift from god, each day is a new beginning and it is up to you what you do with it!

in australia we are granted unimaginable bounty in the form of indescribable beauty, freedom's that others can only dream about, a land that cant be described and the freedom and resources to enjoy it at our leisure!

stop your childish bloody whinging and enjoy your bountiful day's whilst you have them, god can and does recall his gifts at any time!
