Hi
We are currently in Perth looking to moving to Tassie, my question is: we have a gifted primary student and want the best education for her, what school (any area) would any of you reccommend in the absence of Montessori schools?
Thanks for your help.

Hi scott1,
Welcome to "Real Tasmania". Although you have not said where in Tassie your likely to move to the following info sources should help.
Not sure how much research you have done but here is a link to Tas Gifted which is the Tasmanian Association for the Gifted (TAG). This is a non-profit, parent based organisation, affiliated with the Australian Association for the Education of Gifted and Talented.
The Centre for Extended Learning Opportunities, oversees programmes for Gifted and talented students within mainstream schools in Tasmania.
This other link will give you access to Education Department info re gifted children. Extended learning info
You can also contact "Learning Services" direct as they can provide you with the info your after in specific parts of Tassie, Learning Services contacts.
Hope this helps you a little.
