Here are a few shots I have experimented with using the techniuque of shooting from the hip...I have finally got around to processing. The technique basically calls for the photographer to hold the camera at waist height and take shots. I have been doing something I really hate doing, using full Auto mode, but using this you can at least guarantee an in focus, well mostly ROFL, image.

Some interesting results there Shane, especially the perspective and angle on Noddy.

Came close Dave ROFL...maybe next time I might get a bit more lucky. I suppose the reason was to do something a bit different and see how things wwould come out. I do like the perspective and will more than likely use it more often, just to see how images differ from the usual :)

Thanks Mystic...yep that has to be one of my faves as well.

Hmmm, interesting shots Shane, although if I did it I'd spend all my time processing them and trying to straighten them up. ROFL

actually Dave, I think it is so that he can secretively take photos of people without them noticing (... a really large bulge hanging from his hip) :P

ROFL Nat...I don't really like taking pix of people...although at times they can make interesting images...but if I was to shoot them it would be this way ;)

ah!! a bit like the "up skirting" that was prevalent a while back?????...........only kidding Shane....funny though, some folks do get a wee bit touchy when they spy a camera!

ROFL Dave. I think twitchy is an understatement. I have been growled at a few time when taking pix of people. And besides catching them this way you know it is a natural pose ;)
