Hi everyone, I actually missed this section of the forum.
My real name is Dennis, and I am based in Queenstown, Tasmania. Shane, and Mystic would probably know where I am located (Opposite Greens, in the house with the new 6ft fence, lol).
I currently do Web Development, and am in the process of building a Content Management System, that is Open Source, and free for all to use. We also do Graphic Design (though mainly for Client Web Sites), 3D Graphic Design, and as some of you may have seen already, I dabble in a little Photography, and use and promote Open Source Products to assist in editing Photographs.
We have just been setting up our shed as a small studio to do Photo Sessions, and we are thinking of making it available to people, as long as cost for electricity usage is covered. We may possibly be holding some Basic Photography Classes depending on the availability of Roy Austen of Glamour Image Studios in Launceston. As Roy doesn't drive, these may be very sporadic, and only a 1 or 2 times a year, also depending on interest. If we can't get Roy down, and anyone else who like to teach some classes, we''d be more than happy to organize something.
My partner and I have 2 children, 2 Dogs, 2 Cats, 4 Chickens, and 10 fish.
You could say Sci-Fi pretty much dictates most of my life.
Well, that's my uninteresting, and boring existence in a nut shell. If your ever in the area, feel free to drop in.

On a planet where there is certain exploitation of people's rights through the use of Commercial Software, there's a comforting piece of mind that there's an organization called the Free Software Foundation protecting and promoting our freedoms of choice, and rights when it comes to choosing what we use and can do with the Software we choose to use. Give me GNU/Debian Linux any day over all others.

You would have seen both of us around a bit, especially as I only live about 100m from you. Long red hair might ring a bell with ya

Hiya Dennis and welcome to Real Tas. I would definitely be interested in some basic photography classes, especially portrait type stuff. Hope to see more of your images and to catch up at some point.

Yep, the house is being modded to accommodate so the kiddies have somewhere safe to play. We're just waiting for the Safe Fall area to be completed. Then I got to do some more with the garden so we can have veggies growing, and she'll almost be done with.
I've spoken with Roy, and he's definitely interested in doing some shoots and classes down here, it's just a matter of organisation and timing to get him here.
I'll keep things posted, we may even put up some flyers around town, and see how much interest we get.
