Hi Mystic.

Seem to be some issues in the gallery area.
Went in to do some editing and got this error when I clicked my Vietnam Gallery link.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method IPSLib::makeProfileLink() in /home/realtasm/public_html/admin/applications_addon/ips/gallery/sources/libs/lib_albums.php on line 379

Plus this error is showing on all Gallery links.

Error: Could not load template 'user_popup' from group 'global'

Thanks. I did mention in my status and the upgrade alert post that we are aware of issues with the gallery. We need to upgrade that as well, and this will happen in a few days when I can afford to renew the license for that section and get the latest version.

The two components have seperate licenses Cascade. Each comes up for renewal at different times.

Not sure if you picked this one up Mystic....

The following happens with IE9.

From the Forum Home Page click a picture from the Random Images Gallery.

When the Gallery picture appears, from photo info on the right of the image select "view all albums"

Hover over one of the thumbnails below the large image and a popup appears.

The popup has some picture info but I assume there should also be an image showing.

The link to the actual photo is working.

Following the same sequence with Google Chrome. (Ver 18.0.1025.162)

Everything works the same except when hovering over a thumbnail, no popup window appears but the link still follows through.

Hehe. Another small hiccup unless we don't have chat yet.

Saw Shane was online and thought it was a chance to test it.

I was the only one there and received this error msg straight up.

thanks for that info Cascade. IE is a problematic browser, but Chrome should not be, so will definitely check that gallery issue out during the day. Will also look into the chat issue and see what is going on. Am actually considering changing that with something a little more advanced anyway.

I have had a look at the gallery and noticed a couple of things. First, in Firefox, there is no popup at all. I see what you are talking about both with Chrome and IE (though I am using IE 8 and can't be bothered upgrading it coz I personally can't stand the browser).

The pop up works correctly on the recent images box... it shows a slightly larger version of the thumbnail. But where you are talking about a broken image symbol appears. This is one I am going to have to talk to Invision about.

I think the gallery issue should now be sorted out :D let me know if there are any other issues please. Note - still no popups for Firefox, but that is a FF issue.

Chat issue next

Well done Mystic. Popup working fine in IE9

Might be worth trying to see if I can upload images with IE9 as well because that was an issue with the previous forum model.

Will keep you posted when I break something else. ROFL

Managed to upload and attach a single photo using the standard method as apposed to the flash method.

Have not tried uploading to the gallery as yet. Will do so in the next day or two.

Can the "Save" function be removed from the larger view of the image?

Many photos on this forum are deemed by many who view them to be excellent photos. I know it's not to hard to obtain pictures off the internet but I think the mere fact it is there may encourage more people to blatently download and use them for their own purposes.
I dont have any issues with some of my pictures being downloaded for personal viewing but I'm going to be really annoyed if I ever see them on another website or for sale somewhere without my prior consent.  I don't want to slap a watermark s all over an image like you see on some sites.

Understand your concerns Cascade and I did not like that button myself. It was on the "to do" list. Have removed it, but as I have said before there are so many ways that images can be grabbed no matter how much security any website claims to have in place. The only certain way to ensure images are not stolen from the interweb is to never upload them. Any website that claims images cannot be downloaded from their site is lying.

Thanks for fixing Mystic

I agree entirely with your comments and is the reason I reduce the quality of images for posting most of the time, but feel much better now that it not so bl**dy obvious that they could be easily saved.

Of course all the general geeks out there still wont have any trouble and are probably like me find out how to do something when the challenge arises, especially when someone say's it cant be done.

Does the gallery no longer take zip files?

Seems I am unable to upload multiple files also.

Have uploaded files 3 times now once as a zip which I now see is not an acceptable file, twice as a multiple file selection and bombed out first time with this error.

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.realtasma...e24bf639c6d0fa6

The following error was encountered:

Connection to 173.231.45.66 Failed

The system returned:

              (111) Connection refused

The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.

It's not down because I am accessing the forums fine.

Second attempt with multiple file selection seems to have worked OK.

Good thing I have an unlimited adsl connection.

Mystic, I don't know if this is a bug or a setting at your end.

I am unable to place existing albums inside a parent album the way I could before.

I go through the motions of setting it up and selecting the parent album which it then shows it as going to be the parent album but after I Save & Finish nothing changes.
