Mystic I think I can solve this.  I had left the site open on my phone and when I found out about unconditional I put a comment in but forgot I had been looking at shane's photos so I edited it and left a nice reply about his photos instead. Then I reposted it in my blog. Sorry

OH OH.... Looks like that Gallery upgrade has really screwed everything.

There are no longer any albums and all photos have been collectivly put together.

There seem to be a lot of missing links from the images as well.

[attachment=5861:links missing.JPG]

And this following message when I click on a thumbnail from my gallery as it is now.to go to it.

Sorry, you don't have permission for that!

[#10744.1]
Sorry, but that does not appear to be a valid image. If you arrived at this screen by following a link on this site, please notify a system administrator

And this is the total sum for the Members Gallery. Where is everyone ?

Sorry in advance ... ROFL

I think I'll leave home before the posse arrives..........

I knew I was not going to enjoy this upgrade :wallbash:

I think I may have the vanishing albums part worked out, but will have to wait for all the images to be rebuilt, which takes about 30 minutes.

Will try and sort the other issues out once I can get past this hurdle.

Thanks for letting me know Cascade

EDIT: Ok I have the album thing sorted can you please let me know if the other issues still exist?

Albums are accessible working reasonably well and I am able to edit images and descriptions.

The individual member gallery album layout is a bit wierd, harder to navigate and get around. Not sure why there is a sort section at the end of the gallery?

The member gallery is now 4 pages of single albums to browse through to find a specific album.

Shanes Gallery is now 17 pages of albums to wade through.

The way it is currently working is probably going to turn people off making or even looking at any albums.

Hopefully some of this helps to pinpoint some of the issues.

A lot of the new features and layout I like, but agree the album listing kinda sux. I will be a bit busy for the next couple of days then will look at the coding to change the default listing to date from most recent to oldest, setting that as the default list, which should ease things a bit

No it was a one of. I tried to force it again by jumping around the thumbnail images which are the links to the images as there are no longer previous or next links in the galleries, but they all linked OK.

I envisage non computer literates are going to have difficulty working out how things work

It may have been a temporary server overload. The site is definitely getting more technical and there are a few things I am hoping will make it a bit easier with the major version upgrade coming soon.

Most likely. Ive had no issues with links while in my galleries for the last hour or so.

I hope the upgrade wont screw up all the mutiplied descriptions I have been spending hours editing or removing from my galleries.

Mystic, another discovery.

When in gallery. Image moderation. Edit mode.

On the lower icon ribbon there are invisible icons for text control. Bold, italics etc and also indent and  text placement. left, centre etc. if you run the mouse pointer along the ribbon to get the rollover text then you are able to see them & select.

I am using the default forum scheme so it would no doubt be the same for everyone.

Am I on the payroll yet?????
