During our many camping trips across the state, we have had more than a few moments that generate memories we would rather forget.... well one or the other would rather forget.
One of our classic moments happened one morning in the Hastings Forest, near Dover. It had been a cold night, stormy, but the tent was warm, and the sleeping bag cosy. Margie woke first in the morning and stuck her head out of the tent, to make the exclamation... "We have been iced on!"
Now, when someone suggests the ground may be icy, I think frost, as would most others. Fact is that around an inch of snow had fallen throughout the night, and was still lightly falling down on us.
An image that we took looking out from that campsite, and one of our favourite pictures...
Foot in mouth disease

ok so next time I am in snow I will take a iced on shot just for Margie ,
I wanted to share this poem with you when i was at Tafe i often had foot in mouth as I would say out loud what others were thinking and wonder why people would look strangly at me , when the course finished my friends gave me a present and a card with this written on it ,
The word on my mind
Got caught up
With the cogwheels
Of my brain
This tore it apart
Ripped it open
Stole its meaning
And feeling
And put it back together again
As a new word
Which came out
Of my mouth
Upside down
Inside out and
Wrong way round
Its feet
Kicked my teeth out
So that I
Couldn?t even
Pronounce it properly.
