It's a long while since I've been on Real Tasmania, something which I must rectify. My partner and I last visited Hobart in January - fourth time - and hope to revisit the north in October. Just reading this post made my heart ache (the cliched description for that physical sensation of longing!) I relate strongly to your heartfelt portrayal of falling in love with a place. But, oh, the impetuous thing we did on our last holiday. We bought a place in Hobart which we can't currently live in. It's probably the second most impractical thing I've done in my life and goodness knows if it will work out or where it will lead. But just sometimes, when the panic subsides, a little bit of warmth steals over me as I think of my Tasmanian home, for however long it may last.

Welcome back justbeen, nice to see old faces returning. Hopefully we can even convince you to hang around a bit more often and become a regular here. Thank you for your thoughts.
