A fun and friendly challenge to all shutterbugs of all levels. The newly created Photo of The Month Competition is now open for posting.

What do you win????? Huge Prizes???? Massive fortunes to be made????? well...errr...umm....not really, but you do get the cudos of being the Real Tasmania Photo of The Month winner and have your extra special image preserved for posterity in the soon to be created Gallery of The Stars section of our gallery.

Rules? Sure we got rules..

• Only one entry per member in any competition
• Images must be family friendly
• Images must be your own work

Posting will be open for the duration of the month. During this period rating of images in this section will not be permitted. At the end of the month, no new images will be allowed to be posted into the copmpetition and ratings will be turned on. Members (all members) will be able to rate the images they like for two weeks. At the end of that period the winner will be declared as the image with the highest average rating.

In the event of a tie, a poll will be created in the forums to allow a tie break vote to be made.

Winning image will then be moved the the Gallery of The Stars category and announced in the forums.

Last day to get your entries into the gallery album. Voting will start tomorrow. I am thinking a forum poll will be better than using the rating system, with voting running for one week.

Lets see some more entries, and remember, your image does not have to be Tasmanian to enter.

The April contest has been decided, with my shot of Fly Agaric mushrooms being declared the winner. Thanks to all who entered and voted.

The May competition is now open for entries. Remember that the entry must be your own original work, and images do not have to be taken within Tasmania to be entered.
