So far this year we have not seen very much snow in the west. Last year we had seen a number of good covers across Mt Murchison and others around us, but only light falls to date this year.

Curious as to what others have seen around the State in the way of snow this year?

It is a rather chilly day here in Rosebery today and expected to see much more snow on Murchison than there currently is. Snapped this shot during a slight break in the cloud cover a few minutes ago.

I did jokingly suggest to Margie that we take a drive up to Cradle today, but she was not interested in even considering it.

Underground??? Hmmmm...Coop's becoming a Gnome LMAO.gif yay.gif

Aww Coop how are we going to talk to you if you are under the ground hey ??? lol

I was given a snow report this morning from a friend driving past Deloraine saying heaps of snow well down on the mounatins , so stay inside and stay warm cause it was freezing , ha no chance of me going near there today anyway ,
Mind you we are thinking of going up on the weekend to play and make snowmans if its still there by then , as you know here today gone tomorrow is a snow motto in Tassie ,

Does anyone know of a good uptodate web site with snow reports for Tassie , all so afr i can get is Ben Lomond or Mt Wellington but I want the Great Lakes Snow .

Not sure about websites for Tassie snow Sim...maybe the BOM might be able to help.

Here is a shot I managed to get today in between rain and hail and wind. The clouds broke for a few minutes and we even got a bit of that blue sky, but it was very brief.

I love the hazy background on that shot, Margie. Could we see more snow please?

No problem Mark, can show some snow from the 4th of July. I am going to go through some of my other shots a bit later and will put them either here or in the gallery.

And here is another image from the same day.

How cold is it in Rosebery tonight???? Not sure of the temp but we do have snow, and we are slightly below 200m above sea level.

This was shot on a long exposure. Margie has a great shot using a flash on a shorter exposure. This shot captures the falling snow nicely illuminated by the light of the flash.
