I am relatively new to Tasmania, I was wondering if anyone knew of a beach were I could go skinny dipping, I live on the Northwest Coast. If there was a secluded place to camp as well that would be even better... I don't mind hiking to get to these locations. I moved from the mainland a couple of years ago and I now call Tasmania home... it's a great place

I hope this post has not broken any site rules. I just don't know where else to ask and I can't find any information about it anywhere.

Regards Paul

Hi Paul and welcome. No problem with the post as far as I am concerned. reasonable request.

many of the beaches on the north west coast are quite secluded, and you can generally find private locations most easily. Be very careful of ocean conditions though as rips are extremely common. Margie and I have been to a number of east and north east coast beaches that offer a great degree of privacy, but mainly prefer rivers to beaches. You will find an abundance of private rivers right throughout the state.

One beach, in particular, that we have found to be very private, even during the height of summer is found by starting out from the Dora's Point campground. Follow the walking track that heads north along the coast and the second beach you come to is nicely protected from the elements and very private.
The secret to getting what you want, is to want what you need
