We will be spending a month in Tasmania from mid October to mid November in our Hi Ace campervan and are happy to camp off road. We will be arriving and departing Devonport. Can anyone suggest an itinerary to make the most of our month?

Hi there, here's a few places we enjoy:
Maria Island, you'll need a tent or stay in penetentiary appartments (mice and all). No cars. Good showers and toilets. Walk up Bishop and Clerk or Mt Maria. Should be Cape Barren chicks about that time.
Arthur River cruise.
Gordon river cruise.
Bay of fires, best free camping, enviro or pit toilets, no showers.
Mt William national park, Stumpy's Bay camping site. Pit toilets, no showers.
Coles Bay, Richardson's beach camping. Good facilities and beautiful walks.
Bruny Island car ferry. Some free camping but National park fees apply.
I'm sure there will be lots of other ideas coming your way! Enjoy.
Tony

I reckon just drive and when you see a beautiful spot pull over and check it out, but by doing it this way you would never leave laugh.gif I would tell you to spend the whole time on the west coast. So much to see here, but there are other parts of the island, including those mentioned above, which are absolutely gorgeous. As Anna said check out the camping section and see what is in there.
