WEEK 1

I enjoyed doing the 52 weeks last year so thought I would continue on and do another lot.

We had a few hot days over here on the west coast this week which offered some really clear weather and the mountains looked awesome!!!!

My shot this week came from the hottest day, which reached 39 degrees, a real scorcher. The sky was a beautiful blue and the mountain stood out magnificently. She begged to have her photo taken smile.gif

Enjoy

WEEK 2

Thank god the heat of last week hasn't lasted here on the west coast. Here's a shot I got today of some beautiful clouds hanging over the mountains near our house. Enjoy.

WEEK 3

I've been busy with Uni stuff again this week but I did manage to go for a few wanders around town. This weeks shot is of Mt Read. There is a cool little hill at the bottom of our street and I like to climb it to get shots.

Enjoy.

There is a festival going on around Rosebery this weekend and they had fireworks the other night. I stood outside and got some shots, about 60 :-), but not all worked.

WEEK 6

I had energy to burn today and the day was beautiful, so I went for a wander and found a couple of little tracks I hadn't known about. There were lots of bugs and spiders around and I managed to get some cool shots while on the walk.

The following is one of my favourite shots from the walk. Enjoy.

WEEK 7

The week started out with beautiful weather, but soon turned chilly and wet. before it did though I managed to get a shot of Mt Murchison at night. I don't usually like doing night photos but it looked really good with the Southern Cross sitting above it, seen at the top right of the image.

Enjoy.

WEEK 8

Have I ever said that we live in a beautiful place? Well now I am and we do! It doesn't matter how many times you see a certain thing or place, each and every time it is different. This week my shot is of a different view of Mt Murchison. Enjoy.

WEEK 9

This week we have had wet and chilly days and a couple of warm ones. On Saturday I did an impression of a mountain goat and climbed a small ridge to see if I could get a different view of Mt Murchison. The attached shot was the best I could do cause of the thick scrub near the top.

WEEK 10

I have been doing quite a bit of wandering this week. The shot below was taken near the main street of Rosebery. There is a little creek running down the side of the road with a series of little cascades. Very nice weather lately but there is prediction of snow over the next couple of days, maybe the first of the season.

WEEK 11

This week's shot comes from the base of the first set of Stitt River Falls. We found a way down and snapped some really cool shots. There has been a fair bit of rain lately and there was lots of water going over them. I love the tannin colour of the water.

It has been chilly and wet here most of the week. Today, though has been beautiful, so I went for a wander and got the following shot. I really liked the clouds which were lifting of the mountain.

WEEK 14

We had the Targa Tasmania Rally come through Rosebery this week. It was awesome to see the cars rounding the corner at the bottom of Mt Black. We got quite a few shots and I think we managed to get shots of just about every car in the field. Can't wait till next year smile.gif The following shot is one of my favourites from the day.

WEEK 16

We went down to Zeehan today and on the way back there was a break in the clouds allowing the last rays of the day through producing some nice colour. It's been cold and there is snow on the mountain. Enjoy

WEEK 17

We went down to Trial Harbour for a photo shoot. The weather was brilliant and we managed to get quite a few awesome shots. This week's shot was taken from a hill that over looks the town. On a clear day you can see for miles down the coast towards Strahan, but this day there was a mist so we couldn't see that far. Enjoy

WEEK 19

As we are going away I thought I would do my weekly shot early this week. Not sure when I will get to post again. I am rather peeved at some of the people in this town atm, because my favourite building has been burnt down, and I think it was most likely done by vandals. This weeks shot is a triptych of the house. Enjoy and see you when we return. I will catch up on my weekly shots when we get back.

I will be a bit more blunt Shane.... this really pissed me off. This building has historical value in our town, numerous residents warned the local authorities that it was likely to get burned, and now it has. Whoever did this really needs to look at what they did, a total shame, and a social problem we really need to deal with.

For all those who have fond memories of the old mining mess hall, my heart goes out to you. Let's hope that certain other historic buildings do not follow suit.
The secret to getting what you want, is to want what you need
