Recently I completed a photography course offered by RMIT via the Open Universities system. Our final assignment for the course was to complete a photo essay, detailing a particular subject, using between 12-16 photo's. Worth 30% of the overall grade for the course, the tutors indicated they would be extra critical on the assesment side for this one.

Arrived home last night to discover that I managed to get a perfect score of 30/30 for this essay, and a glowing report from the tutor.

As the subject of my essay was one of my favourite locations around Tasmania (Trial Harbour), I thought I would share it with you.

Congratulations - well deserved.

Lovely photos of a lovely place.
The lads and I got out there for breakfast and a hike along the north shore/rocks on our last visit in January.
The road was a lot windier than I had remembered from 27 years ago.

Cheers
Brian

Thanks Brian. It is now sealed half way down, but it always remains a fun road to drive.

Interesting...
I suspect the road sealing is to service the new mine(s) in the area. The early part of the road had been substantially widened when we were there in January.

Do you know if the intention is to go all the way?

Brian

The sealing was due to the openng of the Allegiance mine, and the resultant heavy traffic. There are no plans as far as I know to take it all the way

Very well done . I spent a huge part of my early childhood staying at Trial..(more than 50 years ago!).Have a lot of great memories from there...I was born & bred on the West coast , and am saddened by the decline in lifestyle and 'loss of identity' that existed throughout the West Coast in years gone by. Great pictorial ! rolleyes.gif

Thank you kindly tasaholic, and welcome to the forum.

The west coast has changed greatly in the few short years that I have been living here, though I think the loss of identity is something being suffered by most communities in modern society. Trial Harbour remains one of my favourite locations, though perhaps with what the locals are demanding for real estate there now, that will decline greatly in years to come.
