Week 6
This week I have been exploring my new environment, and getting my house sorted out. I think I managed to get everything I have brought over so far put away, and got things set up the way I want them, for now. Damn I hate moving house!
Yesterday I posted a few shots from one of my local wanders in the thread
hereHave also been playing around with some of the features of my new camera, especially multiple exposures, and trying to create an Orton Effect, which is not easy to do outside of photoshop. This is one of my first attempts.
Not quite enough blur in the second exposure of that one, but I will keep practicing.
Anyone who has been through Queenstown, knows it is dominated by Mt Owen, which the locals refer to as our own version of Uluru as it can undergo dramatic colour changes according to the lighting conditions. A subtle colour in this one.
And, my final shot is a house situated just down the hill from me. Quite a cute little cottage.
The secret to getting what you want, is to want what you
need
