LMAO.gif Natalie. I constantly laugh at Shane, who is still yet to catch one smile.gif

Thanks Di. The pine trees here cop a bashing from the black cockatoos who like to eat them.

ah! you see Shane the secret to great butterfly photography is to lie in amongst high grass and make a sound like a heavily pregnant flower full of nectar, the flutterbys cant resist that, you will be covered with them in no time and can take your time with the shot, either that or a twelve gauge slows them enough for a photograph ......................rolleyes:

Only problem with using a 12 gauge on a butterfly Dave, is trying to put the pieces back together again under a microscope

tricky little buggers, I'm after one of those four winged things that has a long bum, it dips and dives around the joint, cant remember the name but we have one here that has bright red wings with a blue body, only settles for a second and then nicks off, may enlist the help of a tennis racket to slow him down a bit............only kidding!!!!

Ah yes, a dragonfly. Their wings are so pretty - gorgeous oil-slick colours in sunlight.

Week 13

Like Shane, I have been stuck around the house for most of the week, due to some very welcome rains that have finally started to fall. Did go for a run with him out along the Mt Jukes Rd though when the sun decided to pop out for us. The first two shots below are taken at points along the Mt Jukes Rd, and the final shot is a view of Mt Owen, taken from the Lyell Cemetery in Queenstown

Some wonderful skylines there Anna. I believe you've had some rain. How good. Planted broad beans before we left for the mainland so rain is good. Missing Tassie.

Hello Anna, love the rugged mountains in the second photo - when ever I see a skyline like that it just does something to me... sets all the wanderlust juices in motion! smile.gif

Thanks very much Dave & Natalie. Had wanted to explore this road sicne moving here, but not really had the chance until last week. Definitely an area worth exploring more and best of all those shots were taken less than 15 minutes away.

Thanks Anthony. Gotta love Tasmania, just as you think you have eplored a place you can start all over and explore it under new lighting conditions and see something different every time.

Week 14

Mostly raining over this way, but did manage to get out for a little while mid week. Shots for this week were all taken at the Henty Glacial Reserve, just outside of Queenstown.
