Hi all,
my wife and I are finally booked on the Spirit on the 4th Feb for a 3 week visit after a year of dreaming of coming to Tas and checking out your great isle.
I am looking forward to sampling the best crayfish Aust has to offer.... so where do we find IT!!!!!
Please let us in on the secret so we can sample the best.
We're travelling right around so don't care if it's off the beaten track.
Cheer's Rod.

Hi Rod

Hope you enjoy your trip down here. Any Tassie crays are Australia's best, and if you don't want to spend a lot of cash then you are best to grab them fresh and cook yourself. Places such as the marina at St Helens, or on the river at Huonville, or maybe even Mako at Constitution Dock in Hobart will all offer you fresh crays (usually caught that day) that can either be cooked for you at reasonable prices, or taken and cooked yourself.

If you want affordability beware of tourist towns such as Strahan and Bicheno, you will pay through the nose in those places.
The secret to getting what you want, is to want what you need
