This coming Sunday (February 14) we have a walk planned to Montezuma Falls. It is an easy 3-5 hours walk on mostly level ground. No great fitness is required for this walk, though you do need waterproof footwear as the track is often soggy underfoot.
Long range weather forecasts are currently showing scattered cloud and a high of about 21c for the day. This means that anybody intending to go on this walk should bring something warm to wear. About 98% of the track is shaded and never gets sun, so is cool on even the hottest of days. On days with weather as predicted it can get quite chilly. With showers predicted for a couple of days beforehand there should be lots of small mushrooms and other fungi, so perfect for those who like macro photography.
Currently there are four people who are definitely in for this wander, with another two maybe's. If you are planning on being on the west coast next weekend this is a great walk to take and all are welcome to join us. Currently the plan is to meet at the start of the track in the parking area between 11-11.30am. Any changes to plans will be announced here, so it would be wise to check this topic on Saturday.
All welcome, though if you do intend joining us, please leave a message here so that we know to expect you.
For details of how to get there see this post

Should like to go but the commute is a killer!
Awwww, come on, be serious, get the visa organised today, jump on a plane and you could just possibly make it in time to join us.
