sounds like a plan, I'll bring the chops!!! we will have to work something like this out "one day" a "gathering if you will!"
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those that mind, dont matter and those that matter, dont mind!!!

if you come across someone without a smile,.................. give them one of your's....... and watch it grow!

never be mean with a kind word, ........................you may need one yourself one day!

just as I get used to today along comes tomorrow!

Whilst I probably should apologise to Natalie for the hijacking of her thread regarding her experiences of northern Australia, I really do kind of like how we have managed to take a discussion on Magnetic Island to the logical conclusion of a get together in Tasmania.

Well we can look forward to a gathering for the Winter Solstice. Beer? Nope Mulled wine? Getting closer. Probably by then I'd prefer to be on Magnetic Island with Natalie at her lovely swimming hole.

It will probably be dry by then. But to get back on topic, here's another picture of same black cockatoos:

Nice shot Per. Even though they do cause a fair amount of damage, and would have to be one of the noisiest birds around, I do like these.

They are lovely to watch when they fly by in a large raucous flock. I love them, even though they can be destructive by human standards.

I'm really not trying to copy Anna... this is the only photo I've taken this week. So much happening here - we are busy bees.

Thought it odd that the butterfly would choose to rest so close to a foe.

Cool shots Natalie. And, no worries about the similar subject, I did not even realise I had posted one that was an almost identical shot to one posted by Shane myself.

Hi Shane, no - we missed out on the cyclone - fortunately! smile.gif

Now we've just got the rain... rain... rain. Suppose I shouldn't complain, as it is keeping the waterfall topped up.

This week's shots are from Alma Bay, five minutes down the road from where I live. The thing Maggie is famous for - is the Hoop Pines and granite boulders that fringe our shores... so here are a few examples:

And this is an Umbrella Tree in flower:

Very nice shots Natalie. Love the look of that umbrella plant. Certainly would not keep the rain off with those flowers LMAO.gif

Thanks Anna and Shane. smile.gif The flowers don't keep the rain off, but the leaves do a pretty good job.

This lot is again from the garden and the street which runs up the side of the house.

First - the flower of an African Yam:
